Functie.

De VTU Deployable gedraagt zich als een volledig onafhankelijk netwerk en dient als voice server in een noodsituatie. Het voorziet in een aansluiting met de buitenwereld via een sateliet uplink, en het gedraagt zich als een volledig functioneel bereikbaar systeem naar een HQ voorziening. De VTU Deployable laat communicaties toe in volledig verwoeste gebieden, zowel door mens als natuur. U kan dit toestel ook inschakelen bij grote netwerkproblemen. Het basis platform voorziet in een beveiligde IP (Internet Protocol) verbinding op de EDU; het zorgt voor beveiligde draadloze telefoons voor gemobiliseerden of voor team leden in noodsituaties, of voor beveiligde IP lijnen via Satelite RF of andere land gebaseerde verbindingen.


     


Hoe het werkt.

De VTU Deployment wordt opgestelt met het technische team ter plaatse. De IP-sat uplink, en de andere protocols nodig om de connectie met het hoofdkwartier te verkrijgen, worden ingezet. Er worden 2 IP hardwides telefoons geïnstalleerd die de taak overnemen van de basis, terwijl de andere gebruikers IP Softphones kunnen gebruiken via hun laptops en dit binnen een volledig beveiligd draadloze voice en data communicatie systeem. Op deze manier kan er gebruik gemaakt worden van alle mogelijke toepassingen zoals voice mail, het doorverbinden van telefoons en conference calls.

The VTU Deployable basic platform offers enormous scalability. Therefore, VTU Deployable communication solutions can be tailored (adapted/scaled) to meet specific local and wide area communication infrastructure requirements. They are designed to connect to commercial or military communication networks with a wide range of interfaces and data rates. The VTU Deployable can be tailored to provide any traditional data transport that may be desired. Where end-to-end quality of service is required for time-critical applications (such as voice, video and transactional applications), bandwidth can be dynamically allocated across the wide area using satellite uplink or traditional ground-based transport via IP, T1/E1, analog, digital, Frame Relay or Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) via the VTU WAN Access.
