EMW Wins a New NATO Contract by the NATO Consultation, Command and Control Agency (NC3A) in Brussels, Belgium

Herndon, Virginia, USA — EMW, Inc. of Herndon, Virginia USA has been awarded a new NATO Contract by the NATO Consultation, Command and Control Agency (NC3A) in Brussels, Belgium, for Provision Of Training Support Capability – Classroom Upgrade to NATO Commands and entities to meet their training needs on NATO Communications and Information Systems (CIS) for their Automated Information System (AIS) users, including users of the various Functional Area Services. This capability will also support any future Computer Based Training (CBT) provided to NATO. This contract involves upgrading of training facilities throughout the NATO Command Structure to bring them to an appropriate standard level.

This project falls under the Capability Package for Providing the Bi-SC (the two NATO Strategic Military Commands) Automated Information System (AIS) Core Capability (CP5A0050/9B0020). The main objective of the contract is to upgrade designated computer classrooms of entities of the two NATO Strategic Commands, Allied Command Operations (ACO) and Allied Command Transformation (ACT) with a common hardware and software platform to support CIS training.

After the Project Kickoff Meeting, EMW will finalize project plans and documentation and conduct a site survey at each site to verify and validate the implementation requirements unique to each site. EMW will then Design, Test, Implement and Commission the systems at each site. EMW will provide all plans and schedules required for the management, administration, overview, planning and progress of the project. The Design will be a classroom educational system based up commercially available products which meets the System Specification. Upon approval of the Design, EMW will provide a fully functional Proof of Concept System at SHAPE HQ for testing and validation of the approved Design. EMW will then implement and commission the systems at each site. During installation, EMW will provide a Help Desk that will be responsible for all installation trouble tickets and their resolution. EMW will plan and implement cutover from the existing capabilities and initial operation of the new system while ensuring no loss of essential mission functions. EMW will develop and deliver training courses and training materials and will execute training testing and activation of the system at each site. EMW will also prepare and deliver a full set of Project Documentation for each site. After Final System Acceptance (FSA), EMW will provide logistics and operational support of the implemented systems.

The work on this contract will be conducted by EMW in Herndon, Virginia, USA, at its Belgian office, and at 14 locations throughout NATO.
