Major Work Awarded for Manas AB, Kyrgyzstan
Herndon, Virginia, USA — EMW, Inc. announced today that it has won a high-value
Air Force task order, enabling it to expand its Information Technology (IT) services
to the US Air Force at Manas AB in Kyrgyzstan.
The order was issued to Multimax (EMW Inc.’s Prime Contractor) under the
Air Force Network-Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) contract. NETCENTS is a five-year,
$9 billion acquisition initiative to provide Air Force, Department of Defense
(DoD), and other federal agencies with the complete range of IT, Networking,
Telephony, and Security services, solutions and products.
Under the $32.8 million task order for Manas AB, Multimax and its NETCENTS team
partners EMW, Inc. and ManTech International Corporation will manage and provide
to base personnel all services normally provided by a communications squadron.
The services include 24 x 7 communications operations and maintenance of voice
switching equipment, the network control center, the base network, inside/outside
plant equipment and cables, land mobile radio system, visual information services,
communication security (COMSEC)/electronic key management, and material control
functions.
