EMW Exhibits at AFCEA TechNet Europe 2006

Herndon, Virginia, USA — EMW, Inc. was pleased to exhibit at the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association’s (AFCEA’s) 27th European Symposium and Exposition, TechNet Europe 2006, held in Sofia Bulgaria from 17-20 October 2006. The theme of this year’s TechNet was “From Risk to Recovery – Identifying and Controlling Business Risks Effectively”.

As in past years, EMW had a very successful exhibit at TechNet Europe. We shared our booth with one of our Bulgarian Partner firms, Bitova Electronika AD. Bitova Electronika AD is headquartered in Veliko Tarnovo, the old Imperial Capital of Bulgaria, a city which traces its origins back to Thrace, over 4000 years ago. Bitova Electronika specializes in the manufacture of defense electronics and voice communications systems, including vehicle mounted UHF transceivers, intercom systems, and Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Systems. Bitova provided two 37-inch LCD flat panel displays from the line of flat panel TV displays they manufacture, allowing us to run a variety of presentations for each company.

In keeping with the TechNet Europe 2006 Theme, EMW featured its capabilities in Deployable Communications, while Bitova Electronika featured its mobile IFF system. In addition, EMW was pleased to announce the award of a new NATO Contract to provide Collaborative Tools Software for the NATO International Stability and Assistance Force in Afghanistan just prior to the TechNet show. As EMW is already a holder of several NATO contracts, this award is further evidence of NATO’s confidence in EMW to successfully meet aggressive project schedules and to deliver outstanding quality solutions on time, within budget, and in difficult locations. Another highlight of the exhibit was the interest generated within the management of the NATO Consultation, Command and Control Agency (NC3A) in the Bitova Electronika IFF System. A joint follow-up presentation will be provided by EMW and Bitova Electronika at NC3A-NL in The Hague, the Netherlands in the near future.
