Fairfax, Virginia USA — EMW exhibited at
the International Defence Exposition (IDEX), held 12-17
February 2005 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. . Held
every two years, IDEX is the largest Defense oriented exposition
in Southwest Asia. Over 700 organizations exhibited, including
official delegations from 70 countries, and three heads
of state attended. More than 40,000 people visited. IDEX
is unique in its inclusion of live vehicular and mobility
demonstrations, live naval small craft demonstrations,
static rotor aircraft displays, in-water naval ship tours,
and live firing demonstrations of many of the weapons systems
exhibited.
EMW demonstrated its system integration and technical services
capabilities and solutions, including: Voice Over Internet
Protocol (VOIP) and converged networks Communications technologies
utilizing Avaya systems; its AssetWise™ Asset Management
software system; its Magic/Remedy Help Desk software; its
NetBotz multi-sensor IP-based monitoring solutions; its RPost
Registered E-mail system; and EMW’s extensive Information
Security capabilities. EMW also introduced a new product
at IDEX, ObjectVideo, a Security software system which allows
conversion of any CCTV camera into a digital video detection
system with easily customizable intelligent features such
as ability to detect left packages, loitering people or vehicles,
intrusion of a perimeter or space, theft, and a wide range
of other capabilities.
Present at the EMW booth were EMW’s President, Mr.
Tony Bui; Vice President of International Business, Mr. John
Hall; UAE Business Development Manager, Mrs. Fay Gabriel;
Information Security Specialist from the Czech Republic Mrs.
Dana Rodrycova; System Engineer from EMW’s Dubai Office,
Mr. Ahmad Mubarak,; and several vendor representatives.
Mr. Bui and several members of the staff were invited to
the IDEX Kickoff Breakfast sponsored by the US Embassy and
hosted by the Abu Dhabi American Businessman’s Club
in which Mrs. Gabriel serves as a Board Member; a reception
hosted by the US Ambassador, the Honorable Michel Sison,
at her home; and, the IDEX Gala Reception and Dinner hosted
by His Highness, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al-Nayhan, Crown
Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander of the UAE Armed
Forces.
EMW’s booth was visited by over 20 of the official
national delegations with several making multiple visits.
Several hundred other people also visited the booth with
several offering potential opportunities both in the long
and short term. One of the highlights of the week was the
receipt of a contract for the EMW Dubai Office to upgrade
the communications for the Amiri Flight in Abu Dhabi. The
Amiri Flight is the UAE Government Organization which provides
air transportation for Abu Dhabi Government Officials and
also acts as the Head of State Reception Organization and
Facility at the Abu Dhabi International Airport. The Amiri
Flight also provides medical evacuation and humanitarian
aid mission support for the UAE Government. EMW is honored
to have received this contract and by the trust placed in
our ability to successfully deliver outstanding products
and services, and views it as recognition of EMW’s
high quality offerings in Southwest Asia. |
